Harrow Hengqin held its Spring Festival celebration and celebrated our Fifth Anniversary on 6 February. To welcome the Lunar Year of the Horse, we welcomed four horses to school, ridden by our equestrian team students.

A professional lion dance troupe then performed the eye-dotting ceremony and vigorous dances. The Head Master delivered a speech, offering Chinese New Year greetings, reflecting on the school’s growth over the past five years and sharing a New Year poem by Wang Anshi. We ceremoniously cut the fifth birthday cake and sang a Harrow School Song, Five Hundred Faces.

The Spring Festival performances that followed showcased a wide range of student talents, including traditional Chinese instruments, folk dances and crosstalk, creating a festive mood rich in Chinese cultural elements. The event concluded with choral performances by Lower and Upper School students, bringing the celebration to a warm close. Grateful for the shared journey of the past five years, we look forward to the next inspiring chapter together.
