Harrow Hengqin Scholarship

As one of the most significant Harrow traditions, scholarships have been created and used to encourage academic excellence and to promote holistic education at Harrow schools. Through our scholarship program, we aim to encourage our pupils at Harrow Hengqin to not only achieve outstanding academic results, but also develop the motivation, skills and determination to make a positive difference to the world in which they live.

For School Year 2023-2024, Harrow Hengqin will be offering 4 scholarships to encourage excellence in academics, literature, arts and sports, leadership and services, and most importantly holistic development. Although for each category the criteria and focus might differ, our goal is to promote good learning achievements and extraordinary contributions to our community. 

The Churchill Scholarship

The Churchill Scholarship

The Churchill Scholarship is a one-year 10% scholarship available for students from Grade 3 to Grade 9. The scholar should be able to demonstrate excellent academic achievements and holistic development achievements, and traits in accordance with the Harrow values.

The Byron Scholarship

The Byron Scholarship

The Byron Scholarship is a one-year 20% scholarship available for students from Grade 5 to Grade 9. The laureates must demonstrate exceptional achievement in one of the 3 areas—Literature, Art, Sports—and also have excellent academic performances. Applicants will need to demonstrate recognized national or international awards in the above said areas in the past 2 years and be determined to continue to excel in that selected area.

The Head Master’s Scholarship

The Head Master’s Scholarship

The Head Master’s Scholarship is a one-year half scholarship available for students from Grade 5 to Grade 9. The scholar should demonstrate excellent academic performance, and the ambition to continue to excel in academia, while also having a clear exhibition of holistic growth.

The John Lyon Scholarship

The John Lyon Scholarship

The John Lyon Scholarship is a one-year full scholarship available for Grade 9 students who seek further studies at Harrow Zhuhai High School. The laureates should have exceptional academic performance in all subjects, a valid representation of the Harrow values, and clear demonstration of leadership attributes. The laureates should also aim to apply for Oxbridge in the future.
