Boarding is perhaps the most authentic way to experience a Harrow education. It reflects the essence of the 450-year heritage of full boarding education at Harrow School in the UK. Here, boarders grow up in a warm, communal environment where they learn to live alongside others while enjoying world-class facilities right at their doorstep.
Boarders (from all grades G4 to G12) have access to a rich array of activities across sports, academics, music, creativity, and service. As they participate in these activities, they make full use of Harrow’s excellent facilities, showcase their existing talents, and discover new potential, fostering a healthy mindset and building close bonds with other boarders. Throughout, the Harrow faculty team provides guidance and support.
Harrow also arranges additional academic support for boarders. For example, younger boarders receive extra help in English and mathematics, while older students can access tutoring in IGCSE and A-Level subjects.
Most boarders arrive to school on Sunday evening and stay until Friday afternoon as weekly boarders (five nights). Flexi-boarding options are available for maximum convenience to families, for example while parents are away, or mid-week stays for After-School Activities, or to help academic focus in the run-up to important exams.
