During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday on 20–21 June, Harrow LiDe School in Hengqin will host the Guangdong Provincial Final of the ‘Telling China’s Story’ National Language Literacy Competition for Primary and Secondary School Students, a top-tier debate event approved by the Ministry of Education.

We warmly invite students and parents across Guangdong to join this event. This summer, come and debate at Harrow Hengqin!
A High-Standard Debate Event
Organised by the China Educational Television Association and endorsed by the Ministry of Education, the ‘Telling China’s Story’ National Language Literacy Competition is officially a nationally recognised competition for primary and secondary school students.

Thanks to its strong foundation in debate and language education, Harrow Hengqin is honoured to be the organiser of this Guangdong Provincial Final.
Academic support is provided by the China Adult Education Association and the China Educational Television Association.
The event is guided by the Livelihood Affair Bureau of Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin.
Many outstanding public, private and international schools from across the province will send teams to compete. Over 60 schools have already confirmed participation in this two-day event. Importantly, this competition may be held at our school for three consecutive editions, and from next year we plan to add Chinese-English bilingual debate!

Harrow Hengqin Support
To help students succeed, the Harrow Hengqin Chinese team will organise training sessions for participating students from our school, providing systematic preparation.

Our Chinese teachers will serve as judges for the provincial final. Through this opportunity, they will obtain professional certification in critical thinking, and our school will become a critical thinking training centre, providing strong guidance to help students achieve excellent results in the competition.
We look forward to students with dreams and a passion for self-expression taking the stage at Harrow Hengqin, using their youthful voices to tell true, multi-faceted, and compelling stories of China. On 20–21 June, we look forward to welcoming you in Hengqin!
